Coroflot.com
Some of the most exciting design efforts are coming from young artists and recent design school graduates. The website Coroflot is dedicated to showcasing the portfolios and resumes of creative individuals, including interior design, interior decorating, and architecture.
Take for example this innovative and fascinating effort by a fellow named Billy May.
These “torn lights” give the appearance of the wall being torn open and light shining through.
Another cool portfolio I found was from Yunus Adhimuki. It features these brighly colored acrylic benches that incorporate fish tanks:
Or this cool chair/lamp seat by Nicolas Bouriette that would be perfect in an urban apartment:
I’ll be regularly featuring designs from this site, because I think it is really important to keep an eye on the up and coming designers who are making such amazing innovations in the world of design. The cool thing about Coroflot is that it features designers from every country. You get a real sense of what is happening in design on a global scale.
