Find of the Week: The Jado Classic Single Hole Lavatory Faucet

Posted by Scott on January 16, 2008

Jado Classic Single Hole Lavatory Faucet

When it comes to quality plumbing fixtures, there’s no secret that many times they’re exactly what we don’t have in our homes (but should).  Here’s what I mean.

Most of us that live in new homes are still using the contractor grade fixtures that were installed when the home was built.  And those of us that are living in or restoring an older home probably have a mash-up of fixtures, with no two pieces alike or matching anywhere.  I can say only that because it exactly describes my experience in rehabbing and renovating a series of classic homes.

So maybe it’s time for something more interesting, in the bathroom or lavatory especially.  No problem - here’s the ultimate lav-style faucet that’s just perfect in my eyes.

It’s the Jado Classic Single Hole Lavatory Faucet.

Here’s why it’s worthy of being this week’s Find of the Week:

1.    It’s stunningly and stylishly simple in design and function.
2.    The faucet would look great in just about any application imaginable.
3.    Classic styling mingles with modern styling - perfect in historic or brand new homes alike.
4.    I love the old school style four-pronged knobs.
5.    The Jado finish quality is superb - this faucet will last a lifetime or longer.
6.    One hole mounting makes for ease of installation and opens up a variety of options.
7.    These “cross style” plumbing fixtures seem to be all the rage right now.
8.    Mono-hole style also permits easy cleaning of the countertop around the faucet.

What’s more, this Jado Single Hole Faucet comes in a variety of finishes, one as strikingly beautiful as the next.  Personally, I’m a big fan of the timeless (some might even say retro) polished chrome finish.  If that doesn’t suit your fancy, don’t worry - the Jado offers a really durable PVD finish along with bronze, brass, and nickel finishes too.  All of them are really great looking and remarkably durable, but I just prefer the time tested look of chrome these days.

Great faucet.  Great quality.  Great find!
