Faucet Fashions

Posted by Kamelia on January 3, 2007

So I’m sure you’re thinking, “what could possibly be fashionable about a faucet?”… Well let me tell you, your faucet can make or break the style of your kitchen or bathroom. A plain old boring Delta faucet in your kitchen says as much about your personality as what’s in your purse. Don’t let ugly faucets kill your style! Open your eyes to the hundreds of brands out there that carry faucets to reflect any mood or taste.

KWC Eve Deck Mound FaucetHere are a few of my favorite faucets to funk up any fashionable home… First we have the coolest freakin kitchen faucet called Eve by KWC. This faucet has a slim, sexy shape that’s particularly good for smaller sinks. It also has a very cool LED light that filters through the water and lights up your sink. Definitely both pretty and useful. Ok next faucet I really like is the Starck Two Handle Tall Lav Mixer by Hansgrohe. This is one faucet you are NOT gonna spit toothpaste on, that’s for sure! Ok now for those of you who want a more unique, whimsical look, check out the Jado Swan. I can totally see this faucet in one of those guest bathrooms with pretty pink wallpaper and perfectly matched towels… Oh and by the way, I found those last two on the cutest site ever called Faucettrader.com (I’m lovin the idea guys)!

So basically what I’m saying is, if you have a nice room, don’t kill it with an ugly faucet! Get your butt in that chair and do some research and you’ll find that there are seriously a gazillion different faucets out there to choose from and not all of them are boring. Give people a reason to WANT to wash their hands in your house!

You are so right about the faucet adding to the look of a kitchen. I was incredulous about this view prior to installing a faucet that looked similar to the one you highlighted here. Fortunately, the original faucet was not working (and did not look good). However, when I replaced the broken faucet with the new one made the sink area stand out. Since our sink is in front of the living room entrance, when people walk to the kitchen it is the first thing they see and occasionally trigger compliments.
